Telehealth functional medicine for gut health
Root-cause care for IBS, SIBO, leaky gut, bloating, and the digestive symptoms conventional testing missed.
Who this is for
Bloating, food reactions, irregular bowels, fatigue after meals — these aren't things to live with, and they're rarely "just stress." Most digestive symptoms have a real, testable cause: SIBO, dysbiosis, leaky gut, food sensitivities, parasites, low stomach acid, or some combination of them. I help you find which one (or which several) and build a step-by-step plan to repair it.
I'm Kristina Carman, a naturopathic doctor, IFM-certified functional medicine practitioner, and nutritional therapist. I've spent the last decade focused on gut health — and the longer I do this work, the more I see that "your scope is normal" rarely means "you're fine."
You may be a fit for gut-focused care if you have:
Bloating, gas, or abdominal pain after meals - IBS, IBS-C, IBS-D, or unexplained digestive symptoms
Suspected or diagnosed SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth)
Persistent constipation, diarrhea, or alternating patterns
Food sensitivities or growing reactivity to safe foods
Reflux, GERD, or symptoms that haven't responded to medication
Skin issues (eczema, acne, rosacea) that don't respond to topical treatment
Brain fog, anxiety, or fatigue that seems to start in your gut
Histamine intolerance or unexplained reactions
Frequent infections or compromised immunity tied to gut function
A family history of IBD or autoimmune disease and want to be proactive
A note on the gut-hormone connection
Gut and hormone health are deeply connected. Your microbiome plays a direct role in estrogen metabolism (the estrobolome), thyroid hormone conversion, cortisol regulation, and serotonin production. If you're working on hormones without addressing the gut, you're often only solving half the equation. If you have both hormone and gut symptoms, we'll address them together — not in isolation.
